Enhance your Research visibility with ORCID and the Intembeko ORCID Hub.
We are excited to announce the integration of ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) with the Intembeko ORCID Hub at Rhodes University. This collaboration aims to streamline the management of your research activities and ensure you receive proper credit for your work.
What is ORCID?
ORCID provides a unique identifier for researchers, distinguishing you from others with similar names. It connects your professional information across different platforms, making your scholarly contributions more visible and accessible.
Why ORCID?
- Ensure your research outputs are correctly attributed to you.
- Increase the discoverability of your work in databases, journal articles, and funding applications.
- Consolidate your publications, grants, and professional activities in one place.
- Join a network of over 10 million researchers worldwide who use ORCID.
Introducing the Intembeko ORCID Hub
The Intembeko ORCID Hub connects research staff and students with the organizations where they study, are employed, or where they receive funding.
Staff and students can use the Hub to permit Rhodes University to access their ORCID records, and, in return, Rhodes University can use the Hub to assert these relationships in their staff, students, and recipients' ORCID records.
Here’s how it benefits you:
Seamlessly connect your ORCID iD with various research systems and platforms used at Rhodes University
Keep your ORCID record up-to-date with automatic imports of your publications and grants.
Receive assistance from our library staff to set up and maintain your ORCID profile.
