Vision: Climate Change is a cross-cutting CoP that endeavours to build the resilience of the Tsitsa River catchment communities to reduce their vulnerability to the risks posed by climate change. This involves raising awareness about possible futures and exploring ways in which people can adapt their livelihood strategies so as to reduce risks. Through restoring ecological infrastructure, the rehabilitation activities themselves contribute to climate change adaptation. Restoration planning must also take into account how climate change may affect catchment processes and the potential for soil erosion and sediment transfers. Climate change indicators are an important component of biophysical and social monitoring.
