CHERTL hosts an annual Teaching and Learning Showcase, usually in the fourth quarter. This showcase provides an opportunity for academics to share innovative, responsive and novel teaching and learning practices with the wider community.
The Teaching & learning Showcase is aimed at providing academics with a platform to share their explorations of their teaching and their students’ learning, the ultimate aim of which would be to work these investigations into papers that can be submitted for publication. The theme for the 2017 showcase was Responding to a transforming higher education landscape.
We encourage and invite the inclusion of student voices in presentations, and a wide range of approaches and practices is welcomed. While we feel it important that papers should not simply comprise a description of lecturers' practice, but that practice would be interrogated and explored in the light of educational and other theory, we also provide the space for novice researchers to engage in potential areas of productive interest.
