Jill Slinger, an Associate Professor of Policy Analysis, Faculty TPM, TU Delft, is the primary contact person for AWaRMN. Prof Slinger has over 30 years of experience in developmental environmental engineering. She has undertaken water and coastal research in South Africa (SA) and the Netherlands and has co-supervised six PhDs to completion, and is currently supervising five PhDs, one based in South Africa. Prof Slinger also holds a visiting professorship at the IWR, RU, and South Africa. Strengthening of TD research and teaching capacity - Prof Slinger has successfully coordinated complex TD projects, including staff exchange programmes, e.g. the TUDelft component of the Marie Curie Action IRSES project: Knowledge Production, Communication and Negotiation for Coastal Governance under Climate Change (nr. 612615). It is expected that TU Delft will contribute to strengthening the partnership capacity on transdisciplinary training, research and teaching for sustainable water resource management.
