The Department of English Language and Linguistics is holding its annual Postgrad Week in just a few days’ time. This week is a special gathering of all the department’s postgraduate students, both those in attendance in Grahamstown and those who study from a distance. It is designed to give students opportunities to present their research, consult with their supervisors, meet with their research group and take their research projects on to the next step.
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Monday 20 October 9am to 5pm: Presentations
Tuesday 21 October 9am to 1pm: Consultation slots with supervisor(s)
Tuesday 21 October 2pm to 4:30pm: Research Group meetings, with visits
from supervisor(s)
Wednesday 22 October 9am to 5pm: Presentations.
Thursday 23 October 9am to 1pm: Consultation slots with supervisor(s).
Thursday 23 October 2pm to 4:30pm: Research Group meetings, with visits
from supervisor(s)
Thursday 23 October 6:30pm onwards: English Language and Linguistics 3 Farewell Party (All postgraduate students and staff invited)
Friday 24 October 9am to 5pm: Presentations
All presentations will be held in the Rhodes University Continuing Education Centre, and consultations and research group meetings will happen in the Department of English Language and Linguistics.
