The Faculty is delighted to announce that the winners of the Legal Skills Heads of Argument exercise for 2021. Jordan Moonsamy and Caitlin Stoltz took the honours. The exercise involved the difficult question of misattributed paternity and whether a putative father can claim back past maintenance payments. Students had to engage in the law of unjustified enrichment, dealing with issues such as excusable mistakes, public policy and the child’s best interests. The Law Faculty is very proud of Jordan and Caitlin who acted as respondent’s in the matter.
