Rhodes University Division of bet36体育投注_bet36体育在线—激情赢盈中√ & Development is hosting Disability Week 2024 under the theme "I Am Not My Disability - See My Ability." This week-long event aims to promote awareness, accessibility, and inclusivity for individuals with disabilities within the university community.

The week started with Assistive Technology Showcases and interactive activities such as a wheelchair basketball tournament and a blindfolded obstacle course, encouraging participants to explore accessibility tools and raise awareness through sport. The Rhodes University SRC hosted a #PurpleThursday Activation, which included poetry sessions, choir performances, fun trivia, and DJ entertainment.

The week culminates with a Disability Seminar featuring a panel of key stakeholders, including Member of Parliament Meagan Chauke-Adonis and Deputy Director of Administration in the Eastern Cape Premier’s Office Thembelihle Ngcai. They will discuss the theme "Navigating the World of Work When Differently Abled." This final event will provide valuable insights from those living and working with disabilities, accompanied by music performances celebrating the abilities of the differently-abled community.
