Short Biography:

Noble Banadda, a KULeuven (Belgium) Alumnus with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2006) under the supervision of Prof Jan Van Impe reachable on Jan.VanImpe@cit.Kuleuven.be. I also followed Post-doctoral studies in Chemical Engineering (2007) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Charles Cooney reachable on CCooney@mit.edu. Noble is Next Einstein Fellow (NEF) (https://nef.org/fellow/noble-banadda/); Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences (UNAS); Adjunct Professor at Iowa State University (USA); Member of the Malabo Panel of Experts (www.MaMo.org); OR Tambo Research Chair at Makerere University; Recipient of Papal Pius XI Golden Medal 2018 (http://www.xn--academiadascincias-6wb.va/content/accademia/en/about/medal.html ); candidate for extra-ordinary Professorship at Wageningen University Research (Netherlands) and a Visiting Research Fellow at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge (UK). Noble is a professor and Chair of the department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Makerere University (Uganda).

Noble Banadda has been a researcher for the last 21 years; 1999-2001 as MSc research Assistant at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium); 2001- 2006 as PhD Research Assistant at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium); 2007 as Post PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA); 2008 -today as Lecturer and later as a professor at Makerere University (Uganda). Noble has an H-index of 26 as of March 5, 2020 and has (co-) published over 150 peer reviewed journal papers.
