Water Resources, supply, Quality and Management
I hold a Ph.D. and M.Phil degrees in Civil Engineering and Water Resources Management from the University of Sciences and Technology, Montpellier, France in 1989 and 1985 respectively. My first and second degrees (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) are in Geology and Applied Geology (Hydrogeology/Engineering Geology) in 1981 and 1984 respectively from University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. My academic career spans over three decades, and it has been in teaching and research, contributing positively to the continuous development of water resources curriculum and research in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria where I am currently a professor of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. I have served as External Examiner to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Covenant University, Canaan Land, Otta, Nigeria, Department of Civil Engineering, Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, Rwanda, Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, Tshwane University of Technology, Staatsartillarieroad, Building 21-G20, Republic of South Africa and `Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Currently, my research axis focuses on Groundwater Hydraulics, Contaminant fate and transfer in coastal aquifers, Groundwater Extraction, Quality and Contamination, Geo-hydrological impact of landfill operations: gas emission, gas capturing and management, integrated water resources management (IWRM) of hydrological basins and Climate change.
