The Future Earth Africa Hub Leadership Centre located at the ISER and co-hosted by the ISER, ELRC and the IWR at Rhodes University co-organised with the National Research Foundation and co-led some of the most important sessions at the 2024 SRI Africa Setilite Event, themed "Sustainability Days" in Durban, South Africa. The event was held from the 20th to 24th May 2024. This was a great success with more than 400 registered African delegates coming from all corners of the continent.

The global SRI event will be held on the 2nd week of June 2024  In Helsinki, Finland 10 - 14 June 2024 

At the event the Journal of Contemporary African Studies also hosted a journal submission workshop for emerging scholars.
