The ISEA offers a BEd in English as a First Additional Language (IP/SP). It is a three-year, part-time programme for high school and primary school teachers who would like to improve their teaching skills and develop as professional educators.
The programme offers teaching students a well-rounded education, as well as providing them with subject knowledge, pedagogy and appropriate experience for teaching.
Courses include Literature, Visual Literacy, Writing and Grammar, and Professional Studies. Students are also visited by lecturers in order to assist them with specific issues in their schools and classrooms. In order to accommodate full time teachers, lectures and seminars are held during school holidays and over long weekends.
