Zaccheus Shehu, a PhD student at Makerere University, has achieved numerous milestones and awards thanks to his program being funded by the African Water Resources Mobility Network through the Intra-African Mobility Scheme of the European Union.
Through the program, Mr. Shehu was able to attend several training opportunities, including the International Summer School on One Health and the Role of Water at Pwani University in Kenya, where he gained valuable knowledge and skills in the field of One Health. He also participated in the 20th International Conference on Private Higher Education in Africa and the 3rd Higher Education Forum for Africa, Asia, and Latin America Symposium with Masterclass Workshop, held in Addis Ababa.
In addition to these events, Mr. Shehu attended a hands-on LC-MS workshop by the Royal Society of Chemistry/Pan African Chemistry Network at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, gaining practical experience in this field. He also attended the From Linear to Circular Economy workshop in Rwanda, which focused on sustainability and environmental issues.
His achievements have been recognized with several awards, including Water Management Ambassador by SPSC-UK and Scholarship Ambassador by Africademics. He has also been named a Fellow of the Scholars Academic and Scientific Society in India and a Fellow and Member of Eudoxia Research University in the USA.
