A number of academic awards are made annually for outstanding performance in Information Systems. The awards were presented at the graduation award ceremony which took place on Wednesday 2nd April 2025 as follows:
- The BSG Award for the Best Information Systems II (IS Professional) Student is awarded to: Theodore Masi
- The Award for the Best Information Systems II (Accounting Professional) Student is awarded to: Shimi Masemola
- The Lydia Palmer Award for the Best Information Systems II Systems Analysis Student is awarded to: Simosihle Mabena
- The Open Box Software Award for the Best Information Systems III Student is awarded to: Yeukai Runyowa
- The BSG Award for the Best Information Systems III Systems Development Project is awarded to: Bulelwa Busakwe, Sibonelelo Mdelwa, Tinotenda Mukute, Sicelo Sibeko and Nadia Swarts
- The Singular Systems Award for the Information Systems III Systems Development Project - second place is awarded to: Derrick Aboagye, Akhona Mdluli, Amogelang Mphela, Yeukai Runyowa and Thokozile Tshabalala
- The Singular Systems Award for the Information Systems III Systems Development Project - third place is awarded to: Kate Jackson-Moss, Naledi Mabusela, Banoyolo Sicwebu, Daniel Spies and Thulebona Tsele
- The BSG Shared Award for the Best Information Systems Honours Student is jointly awarded to: Mia Franco and Rinae Galani
- The MRI Award for the Best Information Systems Honours Research Project is awarded to: Rinae Galani
- The Mel Field Shared Award for the Best Information Systems Tutor is awarded to: Shammah Mkansi
- The John McNeill Altruistic Award for the Unselfish Support of Colleagues is awarded to: Shammah Mkansi
- The Award for the Best Information Systems Senior Postgraduate Student is awarded to: Ruvimbo Chatapura
