Bukho Charles, a Celeste House Sub-Warden, had the remarkable opportunity to participate as a Geologist in the 2024 Zambia Rift Valley Research Project (ZRVRP) field season, facilitated by the University of Arkansas in collaboration with renowned international researchers from Rhodes University, Western University of Health Sciences, the National Conservation Commission of the Republic of Zambia, and Virginia Commonwealth University. The research field excursion took place in Zambia’s stunning Luangwa River Valley and involved exploration and data collection for geology, integrative anatomical sciences, anthropology, biology, and national heritage conservation. Bukho’s exceptional geological skills were highly regarded by the team, leading to an invitation to return as a researcher. This enriching experience significantly enhanced and broadened his geological skillset, essential for his academic pursuits and professional development.
