Sibonginkosi Mpofu
Sibonginkosi Mpofu is a PhD candidate with the Critical Studies in Sexualities and Reproduction programme. She completed her Honours and Master of Arts degrees in Demography and Population Studies at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her Masters research examined the relationship between female genital cutting and sexual behaviour in Kenya and Nigeria. Her current research is on conflict related sexual violence with a focus on the Gukurahundi Genocide that happened in the early 80s in Zimbabwe.
