Qualifications:
MPhil in Medical Anthropology (Oxford); PhD in Public Health (UKZN)

Katy is currently a Director of the Ubunye Foundation, an innovative and vibrant community-led NGO in Makhanda. Her current research is on community leadership and community-led programme Monitoring and Evaluation. 

Dr Katy Pepper has a PhD in Public Health (UKZN) based on Participatory Action Research completed with mothers living with HIV in Ngqushwa. She has an MPhil in Medical Anthropology (Oxford) with research on postpartum practices in Indonesia, again completed with local women co-researchers.
